The Churches of the Parish of Radyr

Christ Church in Radyr
Christ Church in Radyr

The Parish has two churches.

The Parish Church: The church of St John the Baptist, is, for historical reasons, located in Danescourt. It is approximately 750 years old although it was significantly altered in Victorian times.

Christ Church, in Radyr, is now the main Parish church. It was designed by George Halliday, Llandaff Diocesan Surveyor, and constructed in two stages on a site donated for the purpose by Lord Windsor. The nave was ready for use at Easter 1904 and the chancel and tower were completed by November 1910.
